Two little words I planned to send – a symmetric birthday poem to a friend

Really old manuscript containing some scribbling and illustrations.
I was asked to write a birthday poem to a common friend and took on the challenge gladly.
I wanted the poem to rhyme, by kind of symmetric and sprinkled with deeper meaning connected to the persons personal life and move forward in time.
Two little words I planned to send
Not at the start, not at the end
Travelling around the Sun your way
Take some time to stop each day
A journey with others through many a door
Two little words turned into more
On your journey it started one day
Another appeared with something to say
No longer moving as one, but two
Growing and travelling along with you
One and one plus two adds four
Two have now turned into more
Two little words can mean a lot
Except when written by a bot
Saying things can mean so much
Going through air without a touch
Now when this day has passed
The two little words will last
